The Country Brocante at Thyme

  • Thyme Lechlade, England, GL7 3NX United Kingdom (map)

We are delighted to bring The Country Brocante to the farm at Thyme, a ‘village within a village’ in the heart of the Cotswolds.

Thyme is a family story where a passion for the land, food and entertaining merges with a love of nature, beauty and conservation.

A collection of restored, historic buildings form a peaceful hamlet environment in which you will find a beautiful and unique hotel enveloped by formal gardens with winding pathways.

A farm to fork ethos is evident in the stunning Ox Barn restaurant and cosy village pub The Swan.

Thyme’s style and eco credentials are also evident in the Meadow Spa, a tranquil place to relax and restore.

Described by The Times as “the definition of eco chic sustainability” and as a “dreamy, other worldly haven” by The Telegraph. Thyme embodies so much that we at The Country Brocante hold dear; beauty, simplicity and living in harmony with nature and the seasons .

Come and find the The Country Brocante within the idyllic meadows of Thyme this September 15th & 16th. Explore our beautiful white tents, overflowing with treasures for the home and garden.

Find an exquisite collection of English, French and Swedish antiques alongside decorative objects for the home and garden. In our Artisan and Contemporary Home tent you will find a selection of small independent businesses offering a unique array of home-wear, slow fashion and design creations and outside, our Garden Galleries will be brimming with our beautifully curated blend of vintage wares, gardenalia, plants and flowers.

Ox Barn bookings

The nineteenth-century Ox Barn was formerly home to the oxen that once ploughed our fields.

State-of-the-art agricultural architecture in its time, Caryn Hibbert worked meticulously to preserve the extensive beams, soaring arches and original Cotswold stone rubble walls.

Now, it's a contemporary restaurant which has stayed true to its agricultural roots. Using picked-that-day produce to deliver food which is all about the best ingredients, cooked simply. The menus change in line with the gardener’s harvests and our partners seasonality.

The Swan bookings

Just a short stroll from Thyme, The Swan sits at the heart of the village of Southrop adjacent to the green.

Its recorded history dates back as far as 1606 when it was known as the Bakehouse, serving bread and ale to the farm workers.

The Swan is characterised by low-slung ceilings, roaring fires and a spacious garden room - now known as The Carousal. The higgledy-piggledy wooden furniture combined with bright stripes and Bertioli fabrics make the perfect setting for cosy feasting and simple merry-making.
