PAYMENT TERMS

We take full payment for accommodation on booking. Should you wish to make an amendment or postpone your stay, please email reservations@thyme.co.uk

GUARANTEE POLICY

We take full prepayment for the accommodation element of all stays.

CHECK-IN & DEPARTURE

Your room will be available from 4pm and we ask that you vacate by 11am on the day of departure. If you wish to arrive early or stay late we may be able to arrange this at an extra charge. We are, of course, more than happy to look after your luggage if you wish to extend your day of arrival or departure.

BOOKING CHANGES

Rates are subject to change and we reserve the right to change your accommodation should we need to, with assurances that you will not be moved to a room that is below the standard of your booking.

SERVICE CHARGE

In support of the outstanding commitment and effort every member of our team makes to deliver the Thyme experience, we add a discretionary service charge to your bill. This is shared amongst every member of the team, to ensure that everyone who contributes to delivering the Thyme experience receives their even share - from those that grow the food, to those that cook and serve it, as well as our hotel, spa, back of house and head office teams.   

12.5% service charge is added to food and drink orders as well as spa treatments, and bedroom bookings are subject to a 5% service charge. 

YOUR SPECIAL THINGS

We regret that we cannot be responsible for any loss of damage to personal items during your visit. We therefore recommend that valuables are not left unattended or are given to reception to be stored in our safe.  

MINI BARS

We have a lovely selection of things to enjoy in your room accompanied by a QR code with information on pricing. If items are taken from the mini bar or elsewhere in the room, your card will be charged and we will notify you. 

IN ROOM PRODUCTS

In your room is our own range of products - Bertioli Beauty. This includes Hand & Body Wash, Hand & Body Lotion, and our 3-in-1 Hair & Body Bar. Luxurious and effective to use, the bar acts as a shampoo, conditioner and body soap, reducing our personal carbon footprint by eliminating packaging and excess water. We hope you enjoy using them and encourage you to take the bar home with you!

TAXIS

Due to our rural location, taxi services are limited. We do advise booking in advance for all taxi journeys throughout your stay. Our house team would be delighted to book these in advance for you to ensure your visit is as seamless as possible.

CHILDREN

Throughout Thyme, we have created a peaceful grown-up environment, and we welcome children over 12 across the estate. If you are planning to stay with your young ones, our village cottage, Old Walls, is perfectly suited to families. All other accommodation is over 12s only. In the Ox Barn restaurant, we welcome families at lunch, while breakfast and dinner service are over 12s only. The Swan, our village pub, is family friendly with a cygnets menu for children to enjoy. Our Meadow Spa is able to offer treatments for guests aged 16 and over.

DOGS

We welcome dogs in various spaces and charming cottage suits at Thyme. Please read our Dog Policy for more information. For guests checking into one of our dog-friendly rooms with a dog, there is an extra £50 per stay cleaning charge.

VILLAGE LIFE

Southrop is a quiet Cotswold village and we would ask all our guests to be respectful of our neighbours, especially late at night.

SMOKING

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all internal parts of Thyme.  If you are found to have been smoking, in your room a £100 charge will be added to your account.

DAMAGES

In the event of any damage or loss to the contents of your room, including stains to any of the soft furnishings, carpets and rugs, we reserve the right to charge the credit or debit card used to book your reservation with either the full cost of repairing/cleaning such item(s) or, if this is not possible, the replacement cost with new.

PARKING

Free parking is available upon the estate. We are pleased to offer electric car charging to guests of Thyme.

WI-FI

Free wi-fi is available throughout the property.

MOBILE PHONE COVERAGE

The Cotswolds is a rural location where coverage is, at times, unreliable. We hope that the peaceful environment at Thyme will encourage you to turn your phone off, but we do have landlines in all rooms for your use.

Balloons, lanterns & plastic decorations

At Thyme, we are committed to sustainable practice and the protection of nature. Balloons and lanterns have devastating effects on the countryside and wildlife, including causing fires, littering and, when mistaken for food, inflicting serious harm on animals. We kindly ask that guests do not bring lanterns, balloons, or other single use plastic decorations to Thyme and we thank you for helping us to protect the landscape and nature that surrounds us.

GRAVEL DRIVES

Please be aware that there are gravel drives and pathways throughout the estate; this may affect persons with impaired mobility and guests in high heels.

 A place to pause for thought
