Whether it’s sharing a candlelit dinner for two, or celebrating with friends and family, the Ox barn is a special place to experience farm to fork food.
Enjoy a pre dinner tipple in our Baa bar, before exploring our seasonal winter warming menus in the Ox barn.
Alternatively, unwind by the roaring fire and enjoy cosy dining and hearty pub classics at our pub the Swan.

Often referred to as our founding ingredient, the cookery school perhaps best showcases our love of the land. The ‘Master a Dish’ class is the perfect gift for a foodie friend or someone who needs a little practice!
We offer private experiences as well as a scheduled ‘master a dish’ in our calendar of happenings.
You will be guided by an expert Thyme chef, learning our ‘field to plate’ techniques. Classes usually start in the kitchen garden, showing guests how and where the produce is grown before harvesting ingredients for their menu and enjoying the fruits of your labour over a glass of wine in the Ox barn.

Enjoy an evening of feasting in the Ox Barn, delighting in the flavours and textures of the day’s produce.
Wake to the sounds of nothing but birds chirping. Take out a bicycle to nosey around the village or venture further afield along quiet country lanes.
Spend one-to-one time with our chefs in the kitchen and learn how to transform the garden’s herbs, fruits and vegetables into preserves, or pasta sauces, or staple canapés.

The next morning, feeling refuelled and energised, take to the farm for a walk past the bustling hedgerows as owls swoop overhead.
