Cookery Classes

Cooking under the guidance of an expert Thyme chef, guests learn our ‘field to plate’ techniques. Classes usually start in the kitchen garden, showing guests how and where the produce is grown before harvesting ingredients for their menu.

Cookery classes are available for guests 12 years and older.

Our Classes

  • Master a Skill - 2 hours

    Join our Master a Skill classes to explore the art of cooking with a focus on mastering a specific skill or item.

    From crafting homemade pasta to preserving seasonal fruits & vegetables, our classes are designed to enhance your culinary expertise and help you impress your friends and family with your new skills.

    Our two-hour classes are led by experienced chefs who will guide you through the process of creating a delicious masterpiece. And the best part? You get to take your creations home with you, unless you've already devoured them in class!

  • Cook & Dine - 4 hours

    Our Cook & Dine classes usually begin with a walk through our kitchen gardens (subject to seasonality and weather), where your chef teacher will be able to guide you towards some of our wonderful home-grown ingredients for your class.

    Once back in the school, your private chef teacher will take time to explain all of the steps and skills necessary to master each of the dishes in your chosen class.

    The class then finishes with time to indulge in your creations from the previous few hours of hard work.
