Exhibitions at Thyme
Our Tithe Barn is a magical space. Dating back to the 17th Century, it is steeped in history which is characterised in the original beams and rubble walls.
Now, alongside private dinner parties and our ‘Calendar of Happenings’, we host a series of exhibitions celebrating the seasons and our love of the land.

"I found my language in the things still growing"
- Mary Oliver
Georgia Beaumont is a British artist whose practice is rooted in the quiet intricacies of the natural world. Her work explores the poetics of botanical life, its sensuality, fragility, and resilience, through a language of expressive mark-making and organic form. Beaumont’s paintings have been exhibited in London, Barcelona, Milan, Mexico City, Sydney and Los Angeles, and are held in private collections internationally.
“Thyme is a place deeply connected to nature, and visiting in spring, the fecundity of plant life, insects, and birds sings out with intensity.
As I walked through the property, from the water meadows to the cutting and kitchen gardens, I felt a profound sense of nature’s balance. A reminder that nothing needs to be rushed, and everything finds its place in time.
Nature mirrors our fundamental state of being: intricate, resilient, and steadfast. Its biological rhythms unfold through synchronized responses—patterns that hint at a deeper, unifying reality. This synchronicity suggests that we are not separate from the natural world, but inextricably bound to it.
The act of painting feels like a way of coming to know my own nature. With plant life as the stimulus, it triggers a series of intuitive mark making, and also questioning: what is emerging from me as a result of this world I find myself in?”
